Electric Lawn Mowers

Thanks to funding from a generous Concord resident, the Concord Municipal Light Plant is offering a rebate for residents who replace gas-powered lawn mowers with new electrically-powered lawn mowers for residential use in Concord. The old mower must have been used at the residence in Concord. Residents may receive one $100 lawn mower rebate per household, distributed as an electric bill credit. Rebates are available for electric mowers purchased after 6/1/2022, while funds last.

Qualifying electrically-powered lawn care equipment:
          - Lawn mowers (push, self-propelled, or riding; can be corded or cordless)

NON-Qualifying electrically-powered lawn care equipment:
          - Trimmers
          - Blowers
          - Clippers
          - Weed-wackers

Before applying for the rebate, the gas mower must be emptied of fuel, oil, and antifreeze (if applicable) and brought to Concord Light.  Schedule a date and time for this beforehand with Joshua Cook, Maintenance & Inventory Coordinator, at JCook@concordma.gov.  He will give you instructions on dropping off your old mower at the CMLP Deliveries door (see map).   Please fill out, print, and sign your Gas Mower Trade-in Form and bring it to your appointment with Josh. Leave your old mower with Josh and take your Gas Mower Trade-In Form, with Josh's initials, to submit with your online rebate application.
