Property tax bills for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2017 have been mailed to Concord taxpayers. Third quarter payments are due in the Treasurer-Collector’s Office at the Town House by 4:30 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Postmarks will not verify timely payment. Interest at a rate of 14% per year will accrue from the due date on overdue payments.
Fiscal year 2017 began July 1, 2016 and will end June 30, 2017. Tax bills for the first two quarters were preliminary and based on Fiscal Year 2016 taxes, plus an additional 3.07%. Tax bills for the third and fourth quarters show the balance of the actual Fiscal Year 2017 assessment. The tax rate for fiscal year 2017 is $14.07 per thousand dollars of assessed value. Municipal liens and betterments also appear on the third quarter tax bill.

Applications for abatements must also be received in the Assessor’s Office by Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Postmarks dated February 1, 2017 will be accepted for this purpose if mailed to the proper address of the assessors, first class postage prepaid, with postmarks made by the United States Postal Service.
