Support Groups and Emotional Supports

Caregivers' Support Group

"I care for my husband with dementia. I felt so alone, losing my patience and feeling I was losing my mind. I found this group and I found support, ideas on how to manage some problems, services in the area, and most of all I found I was not alone."

This is one story and one step to finding support for yourself and the one you love.

Our Caregivers' Support Group welcomes all caregivers, no matter the diagnosis of their loved ones. We understand that caring for someone can be incredibly tough, and connecting with others who share similar experiences can provide valuable support and comfort. The group is limited to 12 participants. It is open to Concord residents aged 60 and older, or to those who care for a Concord resident in that age group. The group is facilitated by Nicole Saia, the Assistant Director of the Council on Aging (COA), and meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration is necessary.
