What is Town Meeting?

Town Meeting is both an event and an entity. As an event, it is a gathering of a town’s eligible voters, and is referred to as “the Town Meeting.” As an entity, it is the legislative body for towns in Massachusetts, and is referred to simply as “Town Meeting.”

The Select Board has voted to hold Annual Town Meeting on April 30, 2023. Please check back for additional information on the 2023 Annual Town Meeting as it becomes available.

Special Arrangements or Needs/ADA Accessibility

Anyone with a disability requiring special arrangements for Town Meeting should contact Kellie Hebert, Deputy Town Manager/ADA Coordinator at (978) 318-3000 by 4:30 p.m. on the Monday preceding the opening date of Town Meeting. The earlier that special arrangement needs are communicated, the more likely that time will allow for special accommodations, if possible, to be met.
