2025 Climate Action and Resilience Plan Update
At the 2025 Annual Town Meeting, the Town approved $75,000 through Article 9 - Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Improvement and Debt Plan for an update to the Town's Climate Action and Resilience Plan. Following a Request for Proposals process, the Town selected Weston and Sampson as project consultants for the plan update. You can view Weston and Sampson's full proposal here.
The proposed project timeline is to last a year, from January 2026 to December 2026. The project begins with Weston and Sampson conducting a progress assessment based on the actions from the 2020 Climate Action and Resilience Plan, then shifting to community engagement and action identification, and concluding with the implementation and finalization of the plan update.
Monthly project updates are provided to the Climate Action Committee in their meeting packet which can be viewed further on the Climate Action Committee Meeting Materials subpage here.
2020 Climate Action and Resilience Plan - Sustainable Concord
In 2020, the Town published the first edition of its Climate Action and Resilience Plan, Sustainable Concord, which is a roadmap to meet the commitments the community made at 2017 and 2018 Annual Town Meetings to reduce GHG emissions by 80% by 2050 and to prioritize climate resilience goals and initiatives.
Sustainable Concord continues the work that has already been done and outlines 22 priority actions that can be taken over the next 5 years to ensure Concord is on a path to a sustainable future.
You can view more detailed archival information on Sustainable Concord on the 2020 Climate Action and Resilience Plan subpage here.
Climate Action and Resilience Plan Update - Housing Survey
At the Concord Housing Roundtable meeting on Monday, March 30th, a Housing Survey was discussed as a way to engage with the Town's housing organizations in addition to broader community engagement throughout the project. This survey seeks your input to help understand perspectives on residential building decarbonization and the alignment with the Town’s commitment to equitable, diverse, and affordable housing.
The survey can be accessed here and will remain open through Wednesday, April 15th.
