LIGHTING

Concord Municipal Light Plant provides up to $50,000 in rebates through the High Efficiency Lighting Program (HELP) for upgrading to more energy efficient indoor and/or outdoor lighting and controls. Rebates are calculated at 50% of project costs, or $1,000/kW of reduced demand, whichever is lower.

Businesses are also eligible for up to $3 per bulb for upgrading to LEDs, capped at $180/year. Pre-discounted lighting and controls are also available - contact CMLP for details.

WATER

Complimentary Conservation Consultations are available through Concord Public Works to those interested in learning how to reduce water and save on water bills.

EPA’s WaterSense program provides best management practices and water conservation tips for businesses.

Do you have an irrigation system? Visit concordma.gov/irrigation or contact Water & Sewer to find out how you can reduce operating costs.

RECYCLING

Concord Public Works hosts 2 business recycling events a year providing businesses a low-cost opportunity to properly dispose of computers, monitors, printers, TVs, fax machines, other electronics, and fluorescent bulbs. The Town also offers a weekly recycling program for businesses. Contact CPW for more information at 978-318-3240.

HEATING AND COOLING

Small businesses who heat with natural gas are eligible for rebates through Mass Save on new energy-efficient equipment including heating and cooling equipment, water heaters, food service equipment, and more.

Concord Municipal Light Plant offers rebates of up to $6,250 for installing ground-source heat pumps (GSHPs) which provide cost-effective and energy-efficient heating, cooling, and water hearing.

Additionally, pre-discounted heat pumps and energy efficient HVAC equipment are available for businesses in town through CMLP.
