[ARCHIVED] Concord COVID-19 Update

This week the Town of Concord’s risk level for COVID-19 was raised to yellow. While there are a rising number of cases in Concord and we urge the community to be vigilant and follow State guidelines, the change in risk level is mainly due to a large number of COVID-19 cases at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute (MCI) in Concord. Any questions pertaining to the cases at MCI Concord should be directed to MCI Concord.

Please note that the State has put out new guidance regarding the travel order and changed which states are listed as high risk. Anyone coming from these states, which now include Maine and New Hampshire, must be tested and quarantine until they get negative test results. The only remaining low-risk states are Vermont and Hawaii. While the New England states and New York were considered low-risk during the summer months, this is no longer the case and anyone returning home to Massachusetts from any of these States must follow the Massachusetts State travel order.

As a reminder to everyone, with Thanksgiving less than a week away that it is important to listen to Public Health Officials to help stop the spread of COVID-19, for safety guidance on Thanksgiving this year, please visit the State’s website.
