Please see below the text from the phone message from Town Manager Stephen Crane:
Hello, this is Concord Town Manager Stephen Crane calling with some important information about ways Concordians can support local businesses that have been deeply impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic. Many local business have reopened and are working hard to keep employees and customers safe but they need our help. One great way to do that is to participate in the Summer Solstice Event that has been created by a coalition of businesses called Concord Together. The Summer Solstice is a fun way to support our local merchants and also win prizes! Just go to ConcordTogether.com and print out the "Passport to Summer" card that has 10 empty squares. Fill them up with a stamp from your local stores and restaurants. Once you have filled in all 10 squares, add your name and email and drop it off at the Visitors Center located at 58 Main Street or email it to the address on the passport. There are weekly drawings with gift cards to shops all over town AND a grand prize drawing at the end of the event in August. The grand prize includes an iPad and more than $500 in gift cards! There is no limit to how many passports you can enter. Once one is full, download and fill up another to increase your chances of winning.
Another great program is the Gift of Concord, a gift certificate program from the Chamber of Commerce that can be used in any local business. The certificates can be purchased at Cambridge Trust Bank located at 75 Main Street in Concord. The Gift of Concord is truly the gift that keeps on giving!
Finally, the Town of Concord has suspended parking meter enforcement until at least through Labor Day weekend. So get out there, start shopping and eating locally, win some great prizes, and help our business community right here in Concord.
