LIMITATIONS ON BUILDING PERMITS
Given the Governor’s recent updated essential services list issued on Tuesday, March 31st and the Massachusetts Municipal Association COVID-19 update for Municipalities, the Concord Building Inspections Division announces that no new building permits for non-essential construction projects, such as home improvement or renovation projects, will be issued effective Friday, April 3, 2020.
Concord Building Inspections Division will continue to review applications and issue permits for NEW housing construction and for emergency projects. The Inspections staff will also continue to inspect, all work that is necessary to maintain, the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences for current permits that have been issued as of April 2, 2020, provided that the contractor has in place Health And Safety Plans (HASP) for their construction site and are practicing the Supplemental Guidelines for construction sites Addendum #1 Limiting Exposures and Worker Infection Protocol for COVID-19.
