SAVE A LIFE—STOP THE BLEED TRAINING, FEBRUARY 29, 2020
Please join the Concord Medical Reserve Corps in a free Stop the Bleed training. Stop the Bleed is a national initiative designed to teach bleeding control techniques to immediate responders to mass causality or active shooter incidents.
Tufts Medical Center Trauma Surgeon, Dr. Eric Mahoney will speak to us about his experience caring for victims of mass casualty incidents. Dr. Mahoney also cared for the victim of the shark bite incident in Cape Cod in the summer of 2018.
What is the Medical Reserve Corps? The MRC is a network of community-based units that contribute to meeting the public health needs of their communities. It is sponsored by the Office of the Surgeon General of the United States. The MRC consists of medical and non-medical volunteers who contribute to local health initiatives and supplement existing response capabilities in time of emergency. The MRC provides the structure necessary to pre-identify, credential, train, and activate medical and other volunteers. Please attend to learn more about becoming a Concord Medical Reserve Corps volunteer!
The training will be held on Saturday February 29, 2020 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at 141 Keyes Rd., 1st floor conference room. CEUs will be awarded to nursing personnel. Registration is required for this event. Please register at:
