[ARCHIVED] Little Women Week December 15-22

In anticipation of the Christmas Day release of the Little Women movie, the Town of Concord will be celebrating Little Women Week from December 15 – 22, 2019. This week will feature events themed around Louisa May Alcott while celebrating her book as well as Columbia Pictures and SONYs new movie, Little Women.

Throughout the course of the week, the Town of Concord, museums, and local businesses will host a variety of special events for locals and visitors to enjoy. “The Town of Concord is excited to celebrate this special experience with the public,” said Beth Williams, Tourism Manager.  “We’re thrilled that people will be able to explore not only the Town that inspired Little Women but also served as the filming location of many scenes in the upcoming film.”

Every day throughout the week visitors can stop by the Orchard House, The Home of Little Women; view the newly renovated Gallery at the Concord Museum that features 12 iconic artifacts, including Louisa May Alcott’s copper tea kettle; take a 90 minute Little Women Walking Tour; and so much more!  In addition, there are special events that will take place, from a Luncheon Tea with Louisa May Alcott at Concord’s Colonial Inn, to special tours of The Wayside, Home of Authors and The Alcotts at Hillside; from Children’s Tea at the Concord Scout House and a performance by the Concord Players of Scenes from Little Women.
