[ARCHIVED] Traffic/Construction Advisory - Camb. Tpk. Closure Begins 4/22/19

Please be advised that the Concord Public Work’s roadway contractors for the Cambridge Turnpike Roadway Improvement Project will begin major roadway, drainage and utility construction improvements requiring road closure for thru traffic beginning April 22, 2019.  At that time, Cambridge Turnpike will be impassable at the Mill Brook Farm bridge.

The road will be open only to residents, authorized vehicles (i.e. deliveries, guests, business patrons, etc.)  and Mill Brook Farm customers.   Access west of the Mill Brook Farm (including the farm stand) will be gained from the Lexington Road approach of Cambridge Turnpike. Access beyond the Mill Brook Farm will be from the Route 2 approach at Crosby’s Corner.

During this closure, that will extend through the 2019 construction season, the Mill Brook Farm, the Emerson House and Concord Museum will remain open and accessible.  The link to the detour map shown below provides information concerning access and alternative routes.

For more information and scheduling please contact the CPW- Engineering Division 978-318-3210.
