[ARCHIVED] Annual Town Election Tomorrow, March 27th

Annual Town Election Scheduled for March 27, 2018

Concord’s Annual Town Election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2018.  Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.  All residents who are registered to vote in Concord are eligible to vote in this election.  The voter registration deadline has already passed, so if you are not registered to vote, then it is too late to do so for this election.  If you are uncertain about your registration status or polling location, contact the Town Clerk’s Office or check your status online

What’s On the Ballot?

At the Annual Town Election we will be voting for Town Moderator (one position, one-year term); Board of Selectmen (two positions, three-year terms); School Committee (two positions, three-year terms); and Concord Housing Authority (one position, five-year term).

Absentee Ballots are now available

If you are unable to get to the polls in person on Election Day due to absence from Concord during polling hours, disability, or religious beliefs, then you are eligible to vote by absentee ballot.  Ballots are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office. The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is Noon on Monday, March 26th.  Absentee balloting may be done either in person at the Clerk’s Office during office hours, or by mail.  No ballots may be carried out from the Clerk’s Office.  The Clerk’s Office is open Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Completed ballots must be received in the Town Clerk’s Office by 8:00 pm on Election Day, so if the ballot is to be mailed, be sure to allow ample time for delivery both ways.  Do not return absentee ballots to the polls.  Download an Absentee Ballot application, or you may send a fax or e-mail requesting that a ballot be mailed to you—use of the form is not required but a signature is needed.  Family members may apply on behalf of another family or household member who is unable to get to the polls in person.
