[ARCHIVED] Storm Update and Emergency Information

The Concord Municipal Light Department, Tree and Highway Departments are working to clear the streets of fallen trees, limbs and power lines. Currently there are approximately 300 customers without power and CMLP is working as quickly as possible to restore power to those affected. Please keep in mind due to the high number of outages it will take time to restore service to all customers.

For those without power or heat and have no alternative plans that may need emergency assistance: beginning at 4:30PM the Harvey Wheeler Community Center will be open as a warming center and staying open overnight staffed by Town of Concord employees for those who are without power/heat. If you need help getting to the Harvey Wheeler, please contact the Concord Police Department at 978-318-3400.

The Concord Fire Department is asking residents to insure that any heating or dryer vents are clear and free of snow or blockage.

The Concord Police Departments ask the residents to refrain from walking on trails of conservation land due to snow laden or weakened trees and limbs.

In addition if you encounter any type of utility line on the ground or low hanging wire to assume that it is energized and not to try to remove it yourself.

Contact the Concord Police Department at 978-318-3400 to report any safety concerns or questions. Please check on any neighbors who may need assistance.
