[ARCHIVED] Risks and Impacts of the Opioid Crisis: A Presentation for Concord Seniors

Risks and Impacts of the Opioid Crisis: A Presentation for Seniors

Presented by District Attorney Marian T. Ryan

Friday, October 6th from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM

Concord Council on Aging located inside HWCC

1276 Main Street Concord

The Concord Council on Aging will be hosting District Attorney Ryan as she talks about her county-wide initiative to educate senior citizens on how to properly manage their prescription medications, keep medication safe from theft, properly dispose of unused or expired medication, and identify signs of drug addiction in loved ones. This segment of the DA’s Grandparent Program provides a fundamental understanding of opioids, educating seniors on the origin of the problem, and focusing on issues including over-prescribing and prescription drug use as a gateway to heroin. Given the current opioid crisis affecting many communities, this is a timely topic for discussion. Refreshments will be provided by CareOne at Concord. You must be 60+ to attend. Please call 978-318-3020 to reserve a spot.
