Only One Week Left (August 31) to Reserve Your Electric Mower and Rebate!
Over 50 Concord homeowners have already reserved their new electric lawnmowers along with $100 Concord rebates for swapping out their old gas mowers. There is only one week left to reserve your mower and rebate - the deadline is August 31st.
Concord’s Comprehensive Sustainable Energy Committee (CSEC), is holding a Lawnmower “Swap Plus” event on September 23rd from 9am to 1pm at Concord Public Works, 133 Keyes Road. The event is held in partnership with Concord Public Works, Quiet Communities (www.quietcommunities.org) and Home Depot, is open to all Concord residents, and will feature demonstrations of cordless (battery-powered) electric lawn and garden equipment. Residents who sign up online by August 31 will have the opportunity to trade in their gas-powered mowers and reserve a new electric mower with both a Home Depot discount and Concord rebate.
The mowers offered in the program are the #1 Consumer Reports-rated 21-inch EGO LM2101 (push mower) and LM2102SP (self-propelled mower). They have lithium batteries, are cordless and are good for lawns of a half-acre or less. They perform well, require no gas or oil and do not emit harmful air pollution. They need less maintenance and are lighter in weight and much quieter than gas mowers. The net cost of the push mower is $300 after Home Depot discount and Concord rebate; the net cost of the self-propelled mower is $439 after the same.
We encourage everyone who would like to make their yards quieter and safer to take advantage of this one-time offer. Electric lawnmowers will improve the quality of the air we breathe and promote a quieter, more serene atmosphere for our lives.
You can sign up today at www.coolerconcord.org/sustainable-yards. Your children and your neighbors will appreciate you for taking this important step.
