[ARCHIVED] Possible Peak Demand Days - 8/21 & 8/22

CMLP has called for a possible peak electric demand day today Monday August 21 from 2-6 PM and tomorrow Tuesday August 22 from 3-7 PM. The weather and ISO-New England forecasts show that today and tomorrow may have a potential for both the monthly and/or summer peak. If you are able to reduce your electricity use during these hours, you can help reduce electricity costs to all CMLP customers.

You can reduce your use of electricity during these hours to reduce electricity costs to all Concord Light customers. During these hours, you might consider:

  • turning up your A/C a few degrees
  • turning off some lights
  • postponing use of pool pumps, dryers, washing machines, and other appliances
  • planning a picnic supper, or cooking dinner on the grill

Do you have more ways to reduce electricity usage on peak demand days? Let us know by emailing your ideas to concordlight@concordma.gov, and we’ll share your ideas.
