[ARCHIVED] CONCORD POLICE is HIRING !

 The Town of Concord is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of:

 POLICE OFFICER

 Base Salary Range: $22.82 - $29.93 per hour
 plus educational incentives, stipends & shift differential
 Application Deadline: Friday, June 2, 2017 @ Noon

 This recruitment is only open to candidates who, as of the time of submitting their application for this position, have successfully passed and received certification from a full-time police officer training academy,as recognized by the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC), and who are currently employed as a fulltime police officer. Out-of-state applicants must contact the MPTC at 781-437-0300, www.mass.gov/mptc, to
 ascertain eligibility for certification.

 As a condition of employment, successful candidates must be, and remain, a non-smoker. In addition, as required by state law, all employees must reside within fifteen (15) miles of the limits of the Town of Concord, as measured from the closest border limits of Concord to the closest border limits of the city or town in which the employee lives.

 Applications must be received in the Concord Human Resources Office by Friday, June 2, 2017 at Noon. Emailed

 applications after the deadline, to best serve the interest of the community.

 After the deadline, all applications will be reviewed and the most highly qualified candidates will be invited to one or
 more interviews and/or other assessments. All applicants will be notified of their standing in the process as soon as a decision has been made regarding their individual application.

 Appointment as a police officer will be contingent upon the results of a number of pre-placement conditions including a
 thorough background investigation, criminal, motor vehicle and credit history record checks, a drug-screening test, and
 physical and psychological exams relative to the essential functions of the position. Costs for these pre-placement
