[ARCHIVED] Concord Storm Damage Updates (9/10/2023)

Crews in Concord are busy cleaning up damage and working on power and broadband restoration after a strong storm moved through this afternoon. Concord Public Works has counted more than 60 downed trees, and CMLP crews focused on three large power outages and scattered reports of other issues.

As of this writing (6am), there are 86 customers without power and 44 customers without broadband. Of the 44, 33 are likely due to them having no power and 11 are likely due to damage to the fiber.

Mutual aid has been called for power restoration help, and two emergency fiber splicing crews are in Concord and on standby to begin broadband restoration once areas have been made safe. Private tree removal crews have been working nonstop once the winds died down.

We wish to thank CMLP, CPW, fire, police and all others helping to orchestrate this response.
