Town Manager Kerry Lafleur is pleased to announce the appointment of Megan Zammuto as Concord’s Interim Director of Planning and Land Management following the retirement of Marcia Rasmussen.

Ms. Zammuto joined Concord in April 2023 as the Deputy Town Manager, and she will continue in that role while assuming the interim responsibilities effective June 1, 2023.  She most recently served as Assistant Town Administrator/Executive Director of Municipal Services in the Town of Maynard.  In this role, she managed the day-to-day operations of the Office of Municipal Services which includes building, conservation, economic development, housing, planning, public health, and zoning.  This includes managing direct reports, and collaboratively working with department heads, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

“In her short time in Concord, Megan is already making an impact,” said Town Manager Kerry Lafleur, “Her collaborative approach and fresh perspective is an asset as we evaluate the needs of the department moving forward.  I have full confidence that Concord’s planning needs will be met under Megan’s direction.”

Ms. Zammuto holds a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Arts from Providence College.  She is a member of the International City/County Management Association, Massachusetts Municipal Management Association and MMMA’s Women Leading Government group.
