Traffic/Construction Advisory – Commonwealth Avenue – August 29 & 30 and September 1, 2022

Please be advised that National Grid will be performing underground work on Commonwealth Ave. at the Beharrell St. and Bradford St. intersections on Monday, August 29th  and at the Laws Brook Rd intersection and at 77 Commonwealth Ave. on Tuesday, August 30th.  Completion of the pipe work is expected to be completed on Thursday, September 1st. Work hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

This work is the completion by National Grid of the abandoning of an old gas main and the tying over of the side streets to another existing larger main on Commonwealth Av. Final restoration of the trenches will follow during normal construction day time hours.

During the construction work, two-way traffic and access to all properties will be maintained, however, please expect partial road closures, and minor delays near construction crews performing the work.
