[ARCHIVED] Water Main Break Identified between Barrett’s Mill Road and Elm Street

If you have low pressure or no water it is due to a water main break identified between Barrett’s Mill Road and Elm Street, near the Concord Rotary.  Concord Water and Sewer became aware of the emergency around 7:00 P.M., July 14th.

As of 8:35 P.M., the break has been isolated, and customers should no longer experience loss of service.  Generally such repairs can take 4 to 8 hours depending on severity of break.

If you are seeing brown water, we recommend running the cold water for 5 minutes to clear the line into your home. If the water doesn’t become clear in 5 minutes, shut it off and wait one hour for the disturbance to settle or pass, and then try again.

Concord Public Works appreciates your patience.

If this is an emergency situation please phone the Police Department at 978-318-3400 and they’ll get in touch with us directly.
