Seasonal Water Conservation Advisory
Spring is finally here, bringing with it longer days, warmer temperatures, and more time spent on landscaping. As such, the Town reminds water customers that Concord’s Seasonal Water Conservation Advisory began May 1.
Concord Water asks that you continue to use water responsibly, especially outdoors. Your individual effort is imperative in ensuring that water demand does not exceed our available supply.
Here are some helpful tips for using outdoor water more responsibly:
- Only water your lawn 1-day or 1-inch per week – remember, this includes rainfall
- Water before the sun comes up to maximize moisture uptake and avoid evaporation losses
- Check for leaky, broken, or clogged sprinkler heads regularly to avoid wasting both water and money
- Set your mower blades to 2-3 inches high. Taller grass shades roots and retains moisture better than a closely-clipped lawn
Concord Water will continue to monitor customer demand and available water supply around the clock and provide additional information as it becomes available. Thank you for doing your part to reduce unnecessary outdoor water use.
