[ARCHIVED] Water Service Alert – December 26, 2021

If you have low pressure, no water, or discolored water, it is due to an emergency water main break located on Monument Street near the address of #1549 Monument Street.

Our crews are responding to this incident.  Due to the location and nature of this break, the disturbance will likely be limited to

  • Cress Brook Road
  • Turning Mill Road
  • Silver Hill Road and
  • Monument Farm Road.

It is difficult at this time to project how long the repair will take but it is expected to take at least several hours.

After the repairs are completed, some of our customers may experience brown water.  If you are seeing brown water, we recommend running the cold water for 5 minutes to clear the line into your home. If the water doesn’t become clear after 5 minutes, shut it off and wait one hour for the disturbance to settle or pass, and then try again.

If this is an emergency situation, please phone the Police Department at 318-3400 and they will get in touch with us directly.

If you have questions or concerns, please leave a message with your name, address and telephone number.  The Water & Sewer Division’s normal operating hours are Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Concord Public Works appreciates your patience.
