Today, Stephen Crane voluntarily resigned as Concord Town Manager effective Friday, December 31, 2021.  The Board and Crane have entered into a separation agreement that will end the three-year employment agreement that was due to expire June 30, 2022.

On behalf of the Board, Chair Terri Ackerman stated “We thank Stephen for his work as Town Manager through very challenging times.  His leadership of the Town’s COVID response, especially in support of local businesses, helped ensure that Town departments continued to meet the needs of the community.  We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Stephen Crane stated “I am grateful to the Board for the opportunity to be the Town Manager of Concord.  I am proud of the many ways we worked together through the pandemic to support residents and visitors while still accomplishing many of the Board’s goals.  I also appreciate the chance to work with a talented, dedicated team of coworkers who have made this experience deeply rewarding.”
