The Town has been working diligently to enhance its current cyber security protocols. The town is aware that the town’s spam filtering service re-writes all incoming hyperlinks to ensure they do not point to malicious content, and this includes the hyperlinks that are sometimes distributed to access public meetings. Users who directly click on these hyperlinks may be asked to register their email address with the Town’s spam filtering service or have difficulty making it to Zoom via this method. The meeting location for public meetings will always be posted in the agenda (virtually and/or in person), which is accessible on the “Minutes and Agendas” section of the town website. For virtual meetings, the Zoom meeting ID and password will always be included with the meeting location. Anyone wishing to attend a public meeting may, as an alternative to using the hyperlink, input the meeting ID and password on the Zoom website in order to access the meeting. This type of access will bypass the spam filtering service. If you have any questions about this, please call the Town Manager’s Office or the Chief Information Officer.
