An open house and educational awareness event will be held Wednesday, October 30th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 pm at the Town’s emergency shelter located at the Harvey Wheeler Community Center, 1276 Main St. West Concord. Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend to learn more about how to prepare for emergencies of all types and to better understand the shelter services the Town may offer in the event of an emergency. Come see the shelter setup, learn more about important supplies to bring to a shelter, what to expect when you’re there, pets in shelters, and how to prepare for sheltering at home. The shelter awareness event is being hosted by the Concord Emergency Management Team in conjunction with the Concord Health Division and Council on Aging.
