After many groups elected to not march in the Patriots Day Parade due to the impending weather on Monday April 16th, 2018, the Public Ceremonies Committee has decided to cancel the Patriots Day Parade. The forecast has predicted heavy rain up to 3 inches, wind gusts up to 40 mph, and a near-freezing temperature. The town weather service has also predicted chances of sleet and freezing rain during the earlier morning hours. Safety of all marchers is paramount, and due to the temperature with rain forecasted, the Public Ceremonies Committee feels that this decision is best.
