Due to several recent injuries to dogs from a mother coyote defending pups, the Estabrook Road access into Estabrook Woods is closed to dogs. The den appears to be in the vicinity of one of the main trails in that area. At Punkatasset, dog owners are strongly cautioned to leash dogs as there have been dog injuries here too, though that den doesn’t appear to be close to any trails. Restrictions will remain in place until coyote pups have been weaned over the next few weeks.
