Happy 4th of July!

Picnic in the Park

Celebrate the 4th at Picnic in the Park.  The annual Concord celebration is marking its 48th year with tradition and fun for the whole family.  Enjoy a bike parade, entertainment, activities, music, and food!

Town Operations

Town Offices are closed Thursday, July 3 - Friday, July 4, reopening on Monday, July 7, 2025.  Enjoy a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!

Curbside Collection:  Due to the Independence Day holiday on July 4th, there will be no solid waste and recycling collection on Friday July 4th.  Instead, customers who are normally scheduled for collection on Friday will have their solid waste and recyclables picked up on Saturday July 5, 2025.  This affects Friday subscribers only.  There is no change to any other route scheduled during the week. Please remember to place all your materials at the curb by 7 A.M.

Concord250 Poetry Project - Call to Poets: Reimagining America's 1776 Declaration of Independence

A welcome to all Massachusetts poets! Each of you is invited to bring your joy of language and resourceful imagination to reflect on America’s 1776 Independence and create an original poem that acknowledges America’s past while addressing the continuing pursuit of justice, equity, and inclusion for all.

Author of the First Place Poem receives $1,000. Authors of the Second Place poem and of three Highly Commended poems also receive monetary prizes.

See the rules and resources on the historic civil rights background that may help to guide the spirit of your poem.

The portal to submit your poems will be available beginning June 16, 2025 and will close on October 31, 2025
