Juneteenth
Thursday, June 19 marks Juneteenth, a day of profound significance. On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in Texas finally learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It's a powerful reminder of the long struggle for liberation and the journey towards true equality that continues today.
