Concord, MA – February 3, 2025– Town Manager Kerry Lafleur is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Amalia McCaffrey as Chief Information Officer for the Town of Concord. McCaffrey has served as Interim Chief Information Officer since October 7, 2024, and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in this role.
“Amalia has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Town of Concord during her time as Interim CIO,” said Town Manager Kerry Lafleur. “Her extensive experience, combined with her dedication and vision for the future of our technology department, make her the ideal candidate for this permanent position.”
McCaffrey brings a distinguished 26-year career with the United States Air Force, and continued service in the Massachusetts Air National Guard, to the role. Prior to her interim appointment, she served as the IT Operations Manager for the Town of Concord since February 2024. Her career has focused on leading technical teams across various operational fields, specializing in network, communication, and systems operations. She holds a master’s degree in politics and public policy from the University of Colorado.
As Chief Information Officer, McCaffrey will oversee the Town’s Technology Department, including the GIS Division and Minuteman Media Network. The Town’s Broadband Division will remain under the Concord Municipal Light Plant (CMLP) and overseen by Director Jason Bulger.
