CPW’s paving contractor, Lazaro Paving has started preparation work for the milling and paving operations of Main Street, between Elm St and Thoreau St. Work will continue on Monday August 26th, 2024 and continuing until complete. This section of Main Street is the second of four sections to be completed this construction season.
The reconstruction work will be conducted in two stages, pavement milling of the existing roadway surface and then paving 2 layers of hot mix asphalt to restore the surface.
Two way traffic will be maintained during the paving operation through the construction zone.
On Street parking will be prohibited during the reconstruction work. The paving contractor will be posting “No Parking” signs indicating the “no parking” restriction.
Heavy equipment will be present and operational. Access to all properties will be maintained, however, please expect delays near construction crews performing the work.
