It recently came to our attention that a piece of equipment is malfunctioning in an LCC cabinet on Academy Lane. That equipment, a splitter, helps 30 customers share a single fiber for internet service. Because of the malfunction, many of these customers are receiving low light levels, which is resulting in degraded performance.

At 6am on 10/20/2023, we will be replacing that splitter. If light levels do not improve adequately, we will replace the next downstream splitter, increasing the number of impacted customers to 57.

It will only impact the customers who are served from that splitter. It will not impact the internet connectivity for any other Broadband customers not connected to these splitters.

We will be sending emails directly to impacted customers to let them know about the work. Updates, if required, will be posted on the Broadband Maintenance page.
