Ed LeClair, a Concord resident, has been a mediator for 30 years. He interned at the UMass Medical Center for Mindful Based Stress Reduction, taught medication at the Concord Adult Education program and founded a Meditation Sangha 25 years ago which is still active on Zoom. If you have ever wanted to start painting with acrylics, you might want to try this class. During the session, Lida will guide the class to create a painting based on a single subject. A canvas, brushes and paint will be included, and the cost of the class will be between $40 and $50. If you have some of your own supplies, the cost will be lower. He interned at the UMass Medical Center for Mindful Based Stress Reduction, taught medication at the Concord Adult Education program and founded a Meditation Sangha 25 years ago which is still active on Zoom. After the Civil War, the performances of the Fisk Jubilee Singers (1870s) and Bert Williams (early 1900s), represented the affirmation of the proud heritage and full humanity of African-Americans. The program then reviews important musical events and musicians and singers from the harlem Renaissance up through the late 1930s. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book and meeting in a Zoom discussion group to watch the DVD and discuss the critical global issues facing America today. Topics for this year include Global Supply Chains and National Security, Persian Gulf Security Issues, Brexit and the European Union, Struggles of the Melting Arctic, China's Role in Africa, the Korean Peninsula, Roles of International Organizations in Global Pandemics, and The End of Globalization. Mindfulness has been proven to have a positive impact on stress and anxiety. The purpose of the course it to develop a personal practice that will result in you being able to stay in the present moment, which will help you to be c almer and more relaxed. Ed LeClair, a Concord resident, has been a mediator for 30 years. He interned at the UMass Medical Center for Mindful Based Stress Reduction, taught medication at the Concord Adult Education program and founded a Meditation Sangha 25 years ago which is still active on Zoom.
