Notice to General and File Sub-Bid Trade Contractors 

Request for Bids (MGL Ch. 149)

 The Town of Concord, Kerry Lafleur Town Manager, request Bids from Prequalified General and File Sub-bid Trade Contractors interested in providing Masonry, Miscellaneous & Ornamental Iron, Waterproofing, Damp proofing and Caulking, Roofing & Flashing, Metal Windows, Glass and Glazing, Tile, Acoustical Ceiling Tile, Resilient Floors, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical for the Concord Middle School Project located at 835 Old Marlboro Road, Concord, Massachusetts (Project #2261). Elevator bids are not subject to Prequalification. The Awarding Authority invites Prequalified General and File Sub-bid Trade Contractors pursuant to M. G. L. Chapter 149 to submit bids.

Plans and Specifications will be available free of charge via electronic download starting March 8, 2023, 2 PM at All bidders must register at in order to submit bids and receive notification of any addenda.

A voluntary pre-bid conference will be held at the Sanborn Middle School (835/1231 Old Marlboro Rd, Concord, MA) at 3:30 PM on March 21, 2023. 

General and File Sub-bid Trade Contractors may obtain hard copies of the Construction Documents from Nashoba Blue, Inc., 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167) via UPS Ground Delivery only. A refundable deposit of $400.00 per set (up to two sets), in the form of a certified or cashier’s check to the order of “BidDocs Online Inc.”, is required.  Deposits may be paid electronically. Additional sets may be purchased for $400.00. Bidders requesting Bid Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $80.00 per set for UPS Ground delivery payable to BidDocs Online Inc. No personal or corporate checks nor cash can be accepted as deposits for the Construction Documents.

Bids shall be submitted electronically on the “Bid Forms” at, on or before April 6, 2023, 12:00 PM for File Sub-bid Trade bidders and April 21st, 2023, 12:00 PM for General bidders.  All bidders, with the exception of the elevator trade, must be prequalified in order to bid. DCAMM Update Statement, a Certificate of Eligibility, and a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the total bid price must accompany each bid. The estimated cost of construction including alternates is $87,420,207. The project is funded by the Town of Concord.

The Town of Concord reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality, and to make the award as may be in the best interest of the Town.
