REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS 2248 & 2249

GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND FILED SUB-BID CONTRACTORS

For 

CONCORD MIDDLE SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT


Pursuant to Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004, the Town of Concord, requests qualifications from Filed Sub-bid (2249) and General contractors (2248) for the construction of the Concord Middle School, to be located at 835 Old Marlboro Road, Concord, Massachusetts pursuant to M. G. L. Chapter 149, Sections 44D1/2 and 44D3/4. In addition to General Contractor qualifications, the following are the filed sub-bids for which qualification packages are being requested:

  • Masonry
  • Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron
  • Waterproofing, Damp-proofing, Caulking
  • Roofing and Flashing
  • Metal Windows
  • Glass and Glazing
  • Tile
  • Acoustical Tile
  • Resilient Floors
  • Painting
  • Elevators
  • Fire Protection
  • Plumbing
  • Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning
  • Electrical

A request for qualifications (RFQ 2248) will be used to pre-qualify General Contractors and another (RFQ 2249) will be used to pre-qualify Filed Sub-bid contractors.  Those pre-qualified will be invited to submit bids pursuant to section 8 of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 149 as amended by Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004. 

The new middle school building will be approximately 143,510SF, with an estimated cost of construction of $86,455,680.00.  The Town has appropriated $80,777,500 and any cost over $$80,777,500 million will require town meeting approval.

Statements of Qualifications in response to this RFQ shall be signed under the pains and penalties of perjury. Qualifications must be received on/before 12:00 pm EDT Wednesday November 29, 2022, at the office of Hill International, 75 Second Avenue, Suite 300, Needham, MA 02494 Attn: Susan McCann . All responses submitted after this time will not be accepted.
