According to our virtual host, Simon Schama, on the DVD Simon Schama’s Power of Art, “This is not a saunter through the gallery on a drowsy Sunday afternoon or a Grand Tour of Beauty through the ages. Instead, it is a descent into the volcano of the creative imagination, into the fires, where some of the greatest things humans have ever wrought were fashioned.” Each session, we will watch a thought-provoking DVD followed by a discussion led by Jan Muir about the artist and what we have seen.
