Caregivers' Support

"I care for my husband with dementia. I felt so alone, losing my patience and feeling I was losing my mind. I found this group and I found support, ideas on how to manage some problems, services in the area, and most of all I found I was not alone."

This is one story and one step to finding support for yourself and the one you love. Our Caregivers' Support Group is for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's or related dementia. Caring for someone with a memory disorder can be very challenging, and sharing your experiences with others often helps caregivers cope with difficulties and celebrate successes. The group is facilitated by Council on Aging (COA) Social Service Supervisor Nicole Saia and Abby Ferreira of Cooperative Elder Services. This group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 PM.
