Temporary Ban on Reusable Grocery Bags to slow the spread of COVID-19
On Wed. March 25, 2020 a State Public Health Order was issued which bans the use of reusable shopping bags and lifted the ban on single use plastic bags, in an effort to slow the spread of COVD-19 in Massachusetts.Updated 3/27/20 11:50am
How to recycle your plastic bags and other plastic films
Plastic bags can still be recycled at Crosby’s and most other supermarkets as well.
Crosby’s - There is an entrance at Crosbys to the left of the regular entrance where you return bottles and they still have a plastic bag recycling bin.
You can also visit www.plasticfilmrecycling.org to find a drop off location which is convenient for you.
Please continue to put out your trash as you normally would. Waste Management, the company who picks up your trash, has asked us to post a friendly reminder not to throw loose trash in your barrel.
Thank you for continuing doing your part!
Curbside Collection Program
Concord’s curbside collection program is fee funded. Tax dollars do not support the program. The Town contracts with Waste Management for residential trash & recycling collection. To receive weekly trash and recycling collection, residents can subscribe to the Town’s curbside collection program at the Town House, 22 Monument Square, M-F 8:30-4:30 (summer hours may vary), or via mail by mailing in a subscription application.
Subscribers pay a semi-annual subscription fee and a disposal fee (Disposal Tags & Barrel Stickers).
Disposal tags and barrel stickers can be purchased at the Town House and retail establishments.
Please be advised due to the closing of Town Offices we currently can not exchange green stickers for orange. We will continue to honor your green stickers at least through the end of April. Your trash and recycling will continue to be picked up regardless.
