A big thanks to the CPW team, and others who helped out with the October 19th DropOff - SwapOff! This was a very successful event, with a total of 851 vehicles attending the DropOff portion of the event alone. Below is a summary of the items collected at the DropOff portion of the event. Thanks very much again for all of your help in making this a successful event! DropOff - SwapOff truly is a team effort.

  • 1 30 yard roll-off container of carpet
  • 1 30 yard roll-off container of upholstered furniture
  • 1 8-gallon container of controlled substances (Collected by Police Department)
  • 1 box of smoke detectors
  • 1 truckload of reusable building materials
  • 1,000 CDs
  • 1/2 box of cell phones
  • 10 96-gallon containers of rags
  • 103 boxes of paper were collected for off-site shredding
  • 120 vinyl records
  • 13 refrigerators
  • 14 microwaves
  • 161 bags of Styrofoam
  • 2 truck loads of household goods
  • 200 cassettes
  • 22 mattresses (in addition to mattresses accepted by HGRM)
  • 24 bags of sneakers for Goodwill
  • 3 1/2 5-gallon buckets of rechargeable batteries
  • 3 fire extinguishers
  • 3/4 truckload of children's items
  • 35 propane tanks
  • 4 30-gallon boxes of SHARPS
  • 4 sinks
  • 5 30 yard roll-off containers of construction and demo materials
  • 5 30 yard roll-off containers of over size waste
  • 5 30 yard roll-off containers of scrap metal
  • 5 30-gallon boxes of unwanted medicine
  • 5 containers of 4 foot fluorescent bulbs
  • 52 dehumidifiers
  • 56 air conditioners
  • 60% of a 53 foot truck was filled with electronics
  • 700 VHS tapes
  • 8 boxes of compact fluorescent bulbs
