A big thanks to the Concord Public Works (CPW) team and others who helped out with the May 9 DropOff  SwapOff. This was a very successful event, with a total of 929 vehicles attending the DropOff portion of the event alone. Below is a summary of the items collected at the DropOff portion of the event. Thanks very much again for all of your help in making this a successful event!

  • 1 1/4 boxes of ink jet cartridges
  • 1 30 yard roll-off container of bulky plastic
  • 1 30 yard roll-off container of upholstered furniture
  • 1 5-gallon bucket of thermostats and mercury products
  • 1 container of controlled substances (Collected by Police Department)
  • 1 truckload of children's items
  • 1 truckload of reusable building materials
  • 1/2 box of cell phones
  • 10 30 yard roll-off containers of over size waste and construction and demo materials
  • 10 boxes of small /compact fluorescent bulbs
  • 101 boxes of paper were collected for off-site shredding
  • 2 ½ truckloads of household goods
  • 2 boxes of 8 foot fluorescent bulbs
  • 2 fire extinguishers
  • 20 containers and boxes of rags
  • 20 refrigerators
  • 20 toilets
  • 207 bags of Styrofoam
  • 22 air conditioners
  • 23 dehumidifiers
  • 29 bags of sneakers for Goodwill
  • 3 5-gallon buckets of rechargeable batteries
  • 3 boxes of laser toner cartridges
  • 3,800 books, DVDs, CDs, and VHS tapes.
  • 32 Mattresses
  • 34 microwaves
  • 4 30 gallon boxes of Sharps
  • 4 30 gallon boxes of unwanted medicine
  • 4 bags of towels
  • 5 30 yard roll-off containers of scrap metal
  • 5 containers of 4 foot fluorescent bulbs
  • 50 propane tanks
  • 53 bikes
  • 75% of a 30 yd roll-off container of carpet
  • 80% of a 53 foot trailer was filled with electronics
