Revolutionary Concord Tour
Learn about the events preceding the American Revolution and the tensions that mounted leading to the events of April 19, 1775. Tour includes visits to the North Bridge, Author’s Ridge, and Monument Square.
Concord Authors Tour
Revisit the lives of the most well-known writers of the 1800’s who called Concord home: Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Bronson Alcott, Louisa May Alcott and Nathaniel Hawthorne. *Walden Pond entails additional parking fees.
The Town of Concord, MA is rich in American revolutionary and literary history. Take part in a 55-minute walking tour led by certified guides. Starting at the Concord Visitors Center located at 58 Main Street. Guests will visit sites such as The Milldam, Monument Square, The Old Hill Burial Ground and more! If you choose at the end of the normal tour you can extend your tour to the North Bridge National Park and the Old Manse at no extra charge, this would add about another 50 minutes and a walk of one mile.

The Town offers certified step-on guides for your bus tours. Sit back and relax as you are drives through our nations history and experience the places where Thoreau, Emerson, Alcott and Hawthorne found their inspiration, see ancient gravestones and visit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. At the North Bridge stand where the shots heard around the world began our fight for American freedom.
We can structure your bus tour to give you many options.
It can be centered around the Revolutionary period, the Literary period and the Concord authors and their homes or any combination thereof and a side trip to Walden Pond can be arranged (separate State bus parking fee’s). You can park and get off the bus and spend some time shopping in the many interesting shops in the Milldam area.
