A big thanks to ReUsIt and all of the volunteers who helped out with the October 17 DropOff - SwapOff. This was a very successful event, with a total of 928 vehicles attending the DropOff portion of the event alone. Below is a summary of the items collected at the DropOff portion of the event. Thanks very much again for all of your help in making this such a successful event!

  • ½ bucket of thermostats and mercury products
  • ½ of a 30 yard roll-off container of carpet
  • 1 30 yard roll-off container of bulky plastic
  • 1 30 yard roll-off container of upholstered furniture
  • 1 box of 8 foot fluorescent bulbs
  • 1 box of ink jet cartridges
  • 1 truckload of reusable building materials
  • 1/2 box of cell phones
  • 10 30 yard roll-off containers of oversize waste and construction and demo materials
  • 10 refrigerators
  • 12 boxes of small compact fluorescent bulbs
  • 179 bags of Styrofoam
  • 180 boxes of paper were collected for off-site shredding
  • 2 5-gallon buckets of rechargeable batteries
  • 2 boxes of laser toner cartridges
  • 25 bags of sneakers
  • 3 truckloads of household goods
  • 39 microwaves
  • 4 30 gallon boxes of unwanted medicine
  • 4 containers of 4 foot fluorescent bulbs
  • 43 propane and helium tanks
  • 45 dehumidifiers
  • 5 30 yard roll-off containers of scrap metal
  • 7 fire extinguishers
  • 71 air conditioners
  • 9 containers of rags
  • 1 48 foot trailer and a 24 foot box truck were filled with electronics
